Perhaps Boof should step down and one of the women cricketers in the current Australian squad might do a little better coaching - they don't seem to have that many issues in the conditions.
So lets line up for a final spanking at the oval, perhaps our good friend the weather can delay another embarrassing performance. To be honest, all the hype in the Aus media about dry + green dodgy pitches, off field distractions, etc. are a little rank, I would like to read a story here about how well England have played, yes Australia has been poor, but this shouldn't detract from a great English performance on show.
As far as the rugby goes, Gee, how much of a surprise was that, still we are improving, its about the 5th most popular sport in two of the Australia's states.
That series did flash by. Something to do with Tests being over in a couple of days, I guess :)
ReplyDeleteI'm actually quite looking forward to the ODIs for the first time ever. I want to see how that brave new England we saw take on the Kiwis fares against the World Champions.
Anyway, here's hoping we don't take our foot off your throat. There's grass on that there wicket, there's clouds with rain in them overhead. I'm off on my holidays on Saturday. Hopefully it'll all be over by then. ;)
I know they said it was green, but looking at the sun shining on the TV I'm not sure it was a putting in pitch. Especially when the team in question have already won it. Shame.
