So I thought we should switch to an IPL theme - better late than never. I just got back from Nepal where they have no less than 4 TV channels dedicated to cricket. Now there is a proper country.
Isn't half of the Windies team playing in the IPL? who are we playing in the test match? the Barbados ladies team?

Andrew, you're right about our pair of openers. A number 3 who hasn't played a Test since the second forgotten series and the most out of form captain since Mark Taylor came to England in 1997.
He's BOUND to score runs sooner or later. Last time Cook was in this place he got a ton in his last match just before the best Ashes down under ever!
PS - speaking of looking shaky, the start of Blackwell's innings was almost hilarious in it's dodgy-sloggy-ness. He got out wafting to a no ball (Stokes you muppet) and the rest is history. Would never have had him down for a century on that day!

ReplyDeleteAlso just watched piggy smith slog his side through to another win in the IPL. nothing graceful about that boy, but he seems to be seeing the ball like its the side of a barn at the moment.
